PricestarTerms of Use

These terms apply to the Pricestar app and the website pricestar.app (together, "Pricestar"), developed by Omkar Kale ("we", "us"). By using Pricestar you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Pricestar. These terms add to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement; if the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.
1. What Pricestar does
Pricestar helps you compare prices for products across online and local stores, see price history, scan barcodes, and get alerts when prices drop. We are not a store: we don't sell products, take orders or handle deliveries, returns or refunds for products. Purchases happen on the store's own website under its own terms.
2. Prices and information
Prices, availability, shipping costs, ratings and product details come from third parties such as Google Shopping and the stores themselves. They can be wrong, out of date or change at any time. Price history, "usual price", savings estimates, deal labels and alerts are our best estimates from that data, not guarantees. Always check the final price and details on the store's page before you buy. Price alerts depend on third-party data and network services and may be late or missed.
Pricestar isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the stores or brands shown. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners.
3. Pricestar Pro subscriptions
- Pricestar requires a Pricestar Pro subscription. Plans are offered monthly and yearly, and the price is shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase or, if you start a free trial, when the trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trials are available once per Apple ID. If you subscribe during a trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID's Subscriptions settings. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If we change prices, Apple will tell you in advance as required, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
4. Acceptable use
Please use Pricestar only for your own personal shopping. Don't:
- copy, scrape, resell or redistribute Pricestar's data or results;
- access our server other than through the app, or try to get around its limits or security;
- use automated tools to send large numbers of searches;
- reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- use Pricestar for anything unlawful.
We may limit or suspend access for anyone who breaks these rules or harms the service.
5. Your data
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how you can delete it.
6. Changes and availability
We're always improving Pricestar, so features may change. We may also pause or stop parts of the service, for example if a data source becomes unavailable. If we ever stop Pricestar altogether, we'll stop renewals and let you know in the app.
7. Disclaimer
Pricestar is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that prices shown are accurate or the lowest available.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for losses arising from purchases you make from stores, decisions based on prices or alerts shown in Pricestar, or third-party websites. Our total liability for any claim relating to Pricestar is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.
9. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Pricestar or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app. If you keep using Pricestar after an update, you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
